The Navy Newport STEM Summer Program was created to host a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) summer program for high school students. This program was designed to motivate students to pursue STEM education and offer an opportunity to see and experience STEM careers within a predominantly Navy context. Our overall program recognizes that a healthy science, technology, engineering and mathematics workforce is critical to meeting the Navy and national challenge of competition in the world of technology and engineering fields. Our Navy Newport STEM Program answers a national call to improve our country’s STEM education over the next decade. Our program advanced the following priorities:

  • Inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
  • Engage students and build their STEM confidence and skills through hands-on learning activities that incorporate Navy-relevant content.
  • Educate students to be well prepared for college programs and employment in STEM careers.
  • Reach out to our communities and identify those untapped resources.

Join us for the 2019 summer STEM camp now!
